Fashion and Beauty Blogger Harpreet Maan has officially ventured into the fashion designing world with her new line “Harpreet Maan.”
A few weeks ago I visited Harpreet to talk more about her latest project and how it is coming to life. We sat at her living room in front of a clothing rack full of beautiful pieces in vivid colors and patterns designed by her. 
Like most artists, Harpreet expresses herself through her art. “I love to draw/paint, makeup, web design and any form of creative process! Fashion is another form of expression to me. I am always creating a visual in my mind like a painting. In regards to fashion you can wear your piece of art and express your mood for the day,” said Harpreet.
She was born into a family of artists and she believes creativity is her inheritance. “Colors often spoke to me. My hands would answer by creating textures, paintings, portraits and life drawings. I find inspiration in art, nature, culture, food, people and music, and for me, fashion is a compilation of all these forms of expression,” she added.
Being an artist and always answering to that inspiration, I was intrigued to ask her about the creation process behind her pieces, which she responded “Like I said, colors often speak to me and textures keep me going and I’m always a creating a piece in my mind. Sometimes there are too many thoughts and it drives me crazy! I begin an outfit with a fabric first! Based on fabrics, I design my palette for the season.”
As I continue to check out the different pieces of her collection including maxi skirts and dresses, mid-length dresses, tops and capes, I noticed her beautiful style reflected allover. Harpreet describes her personal style as “a diffusion of elegant and beautiful fabrics with a strong play of color and cut, but traditionally rooted.”
Her line is coming together beautifully, she is currently waiting for some new pieces to arrive and she will be exhibiting them in an upcoming fashion show this July 2017.
“I am presenting my Designs as a “Rise Designer” at Brave Wings Fashion Show!! This is my first fashion show. Brave Wings Organization is a premium fashion show that sets the right platform for designers while giving back to the community. Last year’s event attracted an audience of over 400 people. Join me in helping the Arizona Apparel Foundation (AAF) a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping fashion design brands navigate obstacles to success by providing the resources they need to start, grow, and thrive by attending the show! The Brave Wings Fashion Show will be held on Saturday, July 29th, 2017 at the newly renovated FABRIC building located at 132 E. Sixth Street Tempe, Arizona 85213!,” said Harpreet.
While I was there I tried on some pieces and got to be styled by Harpreet. We also took some pictures while we celebrated how good we looked and felt in her beautiful pieces (We had so much fun!). Like she says, “You can wear it. You can celebrate it.”
And the celebration doesn’t end here! We are planning on doing another collaboration with more fashionable chats, gorgeous clothes and fashion business advice, so stay tuned for that!
