#1 No Harsh Ingredients
I’ve never liked using chemicals or extreme hair treatments because I wanted to keep my hair as healthy as possible. I didn’t color my hair much when I was younger either because again, I didn’t want to put my hair through that unless it was necessary. Now that I have to color it because of a few grays here and there, I wanted to choose a product that was good for my hair. Madison Reed (MR) is free of ammonia, PPD, resorcinol, parabens, phthalates, gluten, SLS, and titanium dioxide. They use ingredients that nourish hair.
#2 It Covers My Gray Hairs
I love MR because it has been the only hair color that I’ve tried that has actually covered my grey hairs! I have tried all the regular hair color brands you find at the drugstore with no luck. I used to try a different brand every time because I was determined to find the one that will cover my gray hairs. I stopped when I tried Madison Reed. It’s the only brand I use now. It actually solved my problem!
#3 I Found My Perfect Shade!
I’ve always had light brown hair naturally except when I was a little kid when it was even lighter and more blonde. Whenever I color my hair nowadays though, I usually get a reddish undertone. When I tried MR for the first time, I had to answer a quick and easy online questionnaire that recommended the best shade for my hair. Now when I color my hair it’s brown or lighter brown (if I choose to have it that way) with no reddish undertones. I don’t have anything against red hair. I actually wore a reddish-brown for a while back in the day when I did a little modeling. Nevertheless, I love my light brown hair, so I went back to it. I can now enjoy it thanks to their expertise!
#4 It Leaves My Hair Extremely Soft
I mentioned this before, but I’ll make a point of it here. These hair color products have nourishing ingredients that make your hair extremely soft. I loved this because I used to notice how my hair would get dry and break with traditional hair color brands. These products are very high quality. Not only the hair color, but they offer a variety of complementary products like shampoos, conditioners, treatments, masks, etc, that are amazing. Yes! This is a big one because I have so much hair. Also, I have long hair, and taking care of it used to take a lot of time. These products have helped me by maintaining my hair healthy, detangling it quickly, and being able to style it fast. MR sent me a towel that helps your hair dry more quickly. It absorbs a lot of the water, so I put it on when I get out of the shower, and then my hair dries faster. It’s also helpful when I need to blow-dry it quickly if I have to do my hair for some event or meeting.
#6 It Gets Rid Of The Frizziness
This one is important to me because I live in South Florida and it is SO HUMID over here! The nourishing ingredients keep my hair healthy, so I don’t experience any freeze. When I used to live in Arizona this wasn’t a problem, but when I moved back to Florida my hair started to get puffy again. Problem solved with Madison Reed!
