Style Chat with Shoe Designer Becki Coakley

I’m so glad you are here to meet Becki Coakley! She is the founder and creator of a luxury shoe label that features timeless designs for the chic and sophisticated woman.

Her unique (really unique, wait ‘till you see them!) shoes are high-quality and drop-dead-gorgeous!

Becki is originally from Charleston, South Carolina where much of her influence comes from. She also credits her inspiration to her mom Angie, which is why you can see the letter “A” in her logo as an homage.

During the design process Becki pays special attention to the overall structure of women’s feet, specifically the arch and heel. The production process then takes place in Italy.

I’ve known Becki for a while now and we’ve even work together in one of her latest photoshoots outdoors. She is not only a top of the line creative, but she is a nice, kind and hard working individual.

Gitana Styling: What is your definition of style?

Becky Coakley: My definition of style is being secure in how you dress and what you wear. To really dress yourself to fit your personality and what makes you comfortable and to wear what expresses who you are.

GS: Who is your favorite designer?

BC: I have a few but I would say overall, Gucci is one of my favorites because of their timeless pieces.

GS: Who are your top 3 style icons?

BC: Three of my favorite women are Lena Horne, Jackie O, and I love Victoria Beckham’s style. They all represent various levels of class, edgy, and sexy with their styles.
