At Laureen Couture, Cohen is surrounded by the best professionals of French haute couture and creates dresses that are a true piece of art. We invited Lauren to have a Style Chat with us and this is what she had to say:
Gitana Styling: What is your definition of style?
Laureen Cohen: A style is a way to express yourself, to show your personality to people. Your style is the first thing that people see, so that makes a big part of the first impression. As you know, it is very important! You want that people remember you. For me the real style, it is the one that you create by yourself, a unique one just for you! Because you are unique by your body and your personality. Every detail of a style can give a lot of information about someone…
GS: Who is your favorite designer?
LC: Stephane Rolland is definitely my favorite designer. It is a French designer of Haute Couture, like me he plays with fabrics… His collections are very different, unique, always elegant. He takes risks and I like it.
GS: Who are your top 3 style icons?
LC: I don’t have a style icon. As I told you, I think that the style it is a question of personality and of people. I love that Karl Lagerfeld has his own image, you like or not but you have a point of view and you will remember it. The Same thing with Lady Gaga. If we talk about Kate Middleton, I will say that she is always well dressed, perfect but she didn’t have a style. It is classic almost never something special…
GS: Share 3 style tips with us.
LC: The tips that I can give you is to look at you in a mirror and find your body shape. If you are a H, create a waist. To do this you have to create volume to your shoulder and to your hips. If you are an apple, highlight your legs. If you are a 8, highlight your waist. It is your best asset. If you are a triangle, create some volume to your shoulders to equalize with your hips. The best tip that I can give you it is to love yourself ! Accept your body will never be perfect, so highlight your asset and feel beautiful. When you feel good and you love yourself people will feel it and they will like it too. It is like when someone smiles at you, you will smile too….
GS: If you feel like your outfit is missing something, what is your #1 style upgrader?
LC: For me the final touch is a hat. A hat gives a personality to your style. You are always special when you wear a hat.
GS: What are you currently working on?
LC: I am actually creating the new collection. I try to find new fabrics. I also make research about 3D printer…
GS: How can our readers connect with you?
LC: There are different ways to contact me, by phone at 78.556.9893, by email, contact@laureencouture.com. You can also book an appointment on our website at www.laureencouture.com
