Who will walk the runways of Phoenix Fashion Week this year?
The search in on!
This Saturday, June 4th, 2016 the Phoenix Fashion Week team will be at Phoenix Premium Outlets on 4976 Premium Outlets Way, Chandler, AZ 85226 expecting over 300 models. The event starts officially at 12 p.m., but if you want to participate, registration begins at 11 a.m.
Some of the celebrity judges that will be present include Margaret Merritt, founder of The Agency Arizona and owner of full-service fashion production company Margaret Merritt Productions; Romen Cole, internationally published Fashion Photographer of Arizona and owner of Romencole Photography Agency, Kinsey Schofield, lifestream anchor and TV personality and Lauren Garcia of What Lola Likes blog.
The Model of the Year Search is meant to support and nurture local talent. The models that get selected will participate and compete in a boot camp comprised of fashion industry knowledge, beauty and runway challenges for the title of “Model of the Year” at Phoenix Fashion Week’s signature event this fall (October 12-15, 2016).
Through the years, “this competition has achieved not only immense growth and range, but most importantly, numerous success stories for our models involved,” Phoenix Fashion Week.
The event will be powered by sponsors Hypoxi USA, The Agency Arizona, MUZ makeup, Sugar Sugar and Moxy Hotels.

The models who are selected will be revealed to the public on Thursday, June 9th at the Emerging Designers and Fresh Face Models Launch Party. In here the event’s 15 emerging designers finalists will also be revealed. The event will take place at Livewire located at 7320 East Indian Plaza in Old Town Scottsdale from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Phoenix Fashion Week is the leading fashion industry event in the Southwest. It’s mission is to bridge the gap between national and international designers and premier retailers and top fashion media. It’s ultimate goal is to garner global exposure for Arizona’s fashion industry.
